From the chocolate to the packaging, everything is made from olives. The Ciomod chocolate bar is produced with extra virgin olive oil and wrapped in Crush Olive, a Favini paper created with the inclusion of 15% olive processing waste by-products.
All of Ciomod's artisan bars are hand crafted at their small family run factory 'Casa Ciomod' in Modica, Sicily. Every bar is made to meet the Cioccolato di Modica IGP standard. The company use high quality, responsibly sourced South American cocoa beans along with fresh Sicilian produce to craft these artisan bars.
The packaging design needed to reflect the artisanal quality of the chocolate bars and Crush Olive from Italy's Favini Paper was the perfect wrapper choice. The Crush range also includes papers made using by-products from citrus fruits, grapes, cherries, lavender, corn, olives, coffee, kiwi fruits, hazelnuts and almonds too. These natural raw materials are saved from landfill and used to make these distinctive and vivid papers.
