Visitors to stand L634 at the annual Lunch! show at ExCel, London, on 24 and 25 September, will have the chance to sample delicious hot takeaway food, beautifully packaged by Sabert Corporation Europe in partnership with Flexeserve.

‘Following Sabert’s recent acquisition of Colpac, we are proud to share our stand, ranges and expertise with Colpac, as one united team,’ said Alex Noake, senior vice president and managing director for Sabert Europe. ‘Visitors will have the opportunity to see Colpac’s paperboard food packaging, including its award winning Stagione range, UK manufactured multi-food pots, and an upcoming product launch.

‘Sabert has released several new foodservice packaging solutions in the past year, and we are delighted to be bringing something new to this year’s Lunch! show at ExCel, with a focus on the hot food takeaway sector.

‘In partnership with Hinckley based Flexeserve, we will be showing takeaway hot food, packed in our recently launched PulpUItra range, the new Hot & Tasty range from our Paper Collection, and the Fastpac range, alongside other established and popular foodservice packaging solutions from the 2Go range, including the award winning Snap2Go and Tray2Go.’

'We help operators to redefine hot food in the kitchen, at the counter and on the doorstep,’ said JP Felix, head of culinary for Flexeserve. 'Teaming up with Sabert to ensure hot food is packaged appropriately and makes the food look great, is a perfect combination. We look forward to showing Sabert’s packaging innovations filled with tasty hot takeaway treats in one of our unique hot-holding units at the event.’

‘Over a decade ago, Sabert was the first to bring quality, functional bagasse pulp packaging solutions to the European market, and customers will be very familiar with the BePulp packaging range – sustainable natural packaging made from plant-based fibres,’ said Alex Noake.

‘Now, we are pioneering PulpUltra, an exclusive ‘no intentionally added PFAS’ food packaging solution. Made from over 95% plant based fibres and treated with a minimal barrier spray (<5% by weight), it offers outstanding resistance to moisture and grease equivalent to laminated products but with less plastic, while remaining fully compliant with EU and UK regulations.’

Film sealable and certified recyclable, the PulpUltra range is freezer safe and able to retain perishable good freshness, frozen goods integrity or keep factory conditioned items intact.

Visitors to the Lunch! show will also have the chance to see and sample Sabert’s latest food to go packaging innovation, Hot & Tasty.

‘The Hot & Tasty range is the latest addition to our popular Paper Collection and combines a stand out ultra modern design with great functional performance,’ added Alex. ‘The versatile multi-product use range is the ideal presentation solution for classic takeaway foods such as fried chicken, burgers, sides and much more.’

The recyclable Hot & Tasty range is nestable, delivering shelf space optimisation. Chiller safe and suitable for hot filling, the range includes a clamshell burger box; chicken boxes in three sizes; a chip box; a noodle box, trays in two sizes; and a carry pack.

The Fastpac range is a packaging solution which is designed to make all hot food look great.

The microwaveable lids and trays mean that food can be reheated directly in the packaging, while Fastpac is also ideal for cold foods as it can be refrigerated.

Easy to store, to fill, and to stack to ensure space saving, the Fastpac range’s unrivalled leak resistance combines with a vented secure locking lid, which gives excellent clarity, making it perfect for long term storage, transport, food delivery and reuse.

With more than 30% recycled PP content, Fastpac containers contain 30% of an organically sourced mineral, talc, and therefore uses 30% less plastic. Sabert confirm its zero waste policy with Fastpac, as 100% of our internal PP waste is reused to produce the Fastpac trays and lids.

The range can help to increase a business’ profits and customer loyalty with durable packaging that can be reused many times by the end consumer, who can put the product in their dishwasher.
