Hunter Luxury has partnered with The Glendronach Distillery and Brown-Forman to deliver the ultra premium presentation for its forthcoming 30 and 40 expressions, launching globally from September 2025. Crafted to reflect the exceptional rarity and prestige of these aged Highland whiskies, each pack showcases Hunter Luxury’s expertise in precision engineering, material innovation, and craftsmanship.

The Glendronach 30 year old, limited to 5000 worldwide, required a precisely engineered structure to serve as a seamless canvas for a chevron pattern that flows continuously across multiple surfaces. This visually intricate design demanded technical precision and a deep understanding of material behaviour to ensure its integrity in volume production. The choice of veneer was key to realising the client’s vision, with a crotch cut variant selected to echo the intent of the original concept visual. To enhance the wood’s natural grain and give clarity to the engraved chevron motif, Hunter Luxury developed a bespoke, Pantone matched stain, delivering a refined, consistent finish. The RRP of a bottle is $1300.
For the Glendronach 40 year old, of which only 300 bottles will be released at a RRP of $6700, Hunter Luxury employed a novel technique using real wood veneer, laser engraved and hand filled with a gold resin inlay. The flowing pattern spans all four structure planes, including the hinged front door, and demonstrates exceptional precision and surface continuity. This is further enhanced by a real metal transcript, encased in a smooth satin varnish to create subtle depth and a refined tactile finish.
The veneer, custom stained to meet the brand’s exacting brief, was carefully chosen to minimise environmental impact while eliminating the need for protected hardwoods. Working in close collaboration with Brown-Forman’s design team, Hunter also developed a bespoke plinth to achieve the optimal balance between visual presence and structural stability.

‘From advanced engraving and staining techniques to structural development and finishing detail, every element of these two ultra premium packs has been crafted with care, precision and purpose,’ said Paul Hamilton, head of sales and marketing at Hunter Luxury. ‘The result is a presentation worthy of two exceptional whiskies, brought to life through material mastery and a shared commitment to excellence.’
Nestled in the Scottish Highlands since 1826, the Glendronach Distillery is celebrated for its mastery in maturing single malts in rare Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks sourced exclusively from Andalucía, Spain. For the first time, the 30 year old expression includes whisky matured in Amontillado sherry casks. This maturation imparts the rich, sherry character and complexity defining the brand’s signature style. This subtle evolution of tradition is reflected in the refreshed packaging that elevates the Glendronach visual identity while honouring its heritage of craftsmanship and flavour.
‘Our innovative manufacturing techniques truly embody this evolution,’ added Paul. ‘We translate the distillery’s dedication to patience, precision, and natural beauty into tactile design and expertly engineered structures that celebrate both spirit and story.’
