EcoVadis Platinum status underlines Pusterla’s sustainability achievements

Luxury packaging specialist Pusterla 1880 UK has achieved EcoVadis Platinum status, the organisation’s highest recognition for sustainability performance. The certification recognises the company’s environmental commitments throughout all areas of its operations.

Significantly, the EcoVadis Platinum rating means that Pusterla 1880 UK is among the top 1% of over 150,000 companies that the organisation has assessed worldwide.
Graeme Riddell, commercial director, said: ‘This is a tremendous achievement which underlines how sustainability is ingrained into everything we do, from how we run the business to the solutions we devise for our customers. It is also a tribute to everyone who works within Pusterla and their dedication to continuous improvement in all areas of sustainability.’
Ongoing initiatives that that have helped Pusterla maintain its EcoVadis Platinum status include carrying out detailed lifecycle analyses and following the packaging ethics charter in all new pack developments; a commitment to material reduction and the sourcing of more sustainable materials; and ongoing investment in more efficient production machinery.
Later this year, the company will be introducing a sustainable procurement programme.
