Parkside takes fresh approach to fruit packaging with lidding film innovation

Parkside has revealed it is doubling down on its support for fresh produce, meat, and dairy businesses with a wave of exciting lidding film innovations.

The flexible packaging expert has expanded its portfolio of lidding film solutions, giving food brands, packers, and processors more options than ever to tailor their packaging to suit specific product applications.

This range includes Popflex, the monopolymer lidding film with laser scored integral easy opening, which means the film is suitable for recycling when weld sealed to a matching PET tray. The range also includes recyclable reclosable films, as well as a range of monopolymer, compostable, paper, and standard polymer films that can be used for almost any application.

‘No two packaging projects are ever the same,’ said Ian McManus, sales account manager, ‘which means each application requires a tailored approach that considers all of a product and customer’s needs.’

He continued, ‘Our lidding film portfolio is unmatched in its size and scope, meaning customers can tailor their packaging until every detail is right for them. Whether a customer wants high barrier properties, easy open functionality, recyclability, print quality, or a balanced combination of the above, we can deliver.’

Parkside’s sustainable film innovations will appear as part of tray sealing machinery expert ProSeal’s stand at the annual Fruit Logistica showcase, this year running between 5 and 7 February in Berlin. Its innovative materials will be used to demonstrate the tray sealing capabilities of ProSeal solutions, which can be found at hall 1.1, stand C-20. Parkside's sales account managers Staci Bye and Ian McManus will be in attendance at the show.
