From haircare to hair beauty: a new packaging collection

Forget shampoo and conditioner. Consumers today want more than clean hair; they want density, strength, lasting repair and a healthy scalp, all wrapped up in a tailored experience that aligns with their values.

Multi-step haircare routines are becoming the norm. The category is changing beyond recognition, driven by a convergence of trends which include, among others, skinification, premiumisation, hyper segmentation and science based efficacy.

Brands are launching high performing hair and scalp treatments with new hero ingredients. Packaging must also adapt, to deliver formulas in the right way. Quadpack’s Haircare Collection has been curated to meet new and emerging demands, with customisable formats that answer to evolving expectations and sustainability goals.

‘The collection comprises key packaging solutions that offer multiple application methods for different types of hair products, from serums, waxes and oils, to hair masks, conditioners and scalp treatments. It is designed to include everything brands need to launch complete haircare ranges in ways that enhance their products, engage their users and express their identity,’ explained product manager Mégane Bereyziat.

For direct to scalp treatments, hair serums and oils, consumers need targeted application, controlled dosing and mess free use. The Haircare Collection proposes drop by drop systems in tubes and bottles.

Dropify Bottle and Dropify Pen are ideal for liquid treatments like pre-shampoo oils or intensive serums. These solutions allow users to control the dosage by pressing the soft buttons in the reusable head, opening the door to refill programmes. The Dropify platform introduces an engaging, single handed gesture, keeping one hand free to manipulate hair.

The Skin-Up Bottle comes with a teat or a push-button dropper, for a classic application method that users know and trust.

For a differentiated experience, the Wanderer dropper tube dispenses serums and oils through a patented flow control disc, ensuring precise dosage. Wanderer Divine has a clear PET pipette for a more premium appearance.

Conditioners, deep treatments and hair masks are often more viscous than shampoos. Packaging needs to be easy to open and dispense with wet hands, when used in the shower. Dosage control is important here, too: consumers do not want to waste an expensive treatment by dispensing too much. These issues are addressed by the Haircare Collection.

The Central Dispensing Bottle and Central Dispensing Tube are classic formats with a literal twist. The head is opened and closed with a simple quarter turn – no overcap or flipcap required. A soft-touch finish can add comfort and luxury. The monofamily solutions are made of PP and PE, materials which can be recycled together.

The 200 ml Regula PP Jar is perfect for hair masks and waxes, made of 100% PP at Quadpack’s facilities in Kierspe, Germany. Its basic format comes with options to align with brand requirements, including wall thickness, materials, refill structures and different capacities. The 50ml version allows brands to offer travel sized options.

For audiences who want real engagement with the product, ShapeUp Tube transforms haircare into unique experiences. The formula is dispensed in a custom shape – a sun burst, a flower, a smiley, a logo – extruded through a patterned plate attached to the head.

Hair loss and other specialised treatments are long term, targeted products that are deeply tied to wellbeing. The packaging needs to build trust, while offering precision and efficacy to support claims.

The Haircare Collection has formats that inspire confidence and enhance performance.

Dropify Pen and Dropify Bottle boast a clinical look and feel, combined with precise dispensing. Users control the dose, targeting the desired area, so not a drop is wasted. As refillable solutions, these innovative packs support long term treatments. The simple act of affixing the applicator head to a new bottle or pen becomes an integral part of the treatment ritual, reinforcing the product’s clinical purpose.

The Arena Jar, available in PET and glass versions, is ideally suited to haircare supplements and nutricosmetics thanks to its wide base, allowing easy access to the product. Also made in Europe at Quadpack’s Kierspe factory, this transparent, thick-walled jar showcases innovative formulas with sophistication.

Quadpack’s Haircare Collection prioritises recyclable materials and mono-family design where possible, with PCR content a key part of its product strategy. Refillable systems are integrated where applicators can be reused or jars can be fitted with refills. Every solution in the collection has a comprehensive lifecycle assessment to help brands measure their environmental impact and calculate Scope 3 emissions in readiness for regulations such as the PPWR.

Whichever mix of products is selected, Quadpack’s expertise in decoration and finishing ensures that the complete range is coherent with the brand’s own creative identity. From hot foil stamping and screen printing to colour gradients and tactile finishes, a host of techniques can be applied to reflect clinical efficacy or ultra luxe aesthetics.

As haircare increasingly mirrors skincare, packaging must evolve alongside the category – becoming more targeted, sophisticated and experiential. Quadpack’s Haircare Collection brings together the formats, application methods and design possibilities to help brands respond to this new generation of high performance, personalised haircare.
